The artist writes, “It’s amazing to me just how little the cowboy has changed over time. Their styles have come full circle, and equipment has improved a bit, but the land they work on is as harsh and beautiful today as it was back when they drove the big herds north. Watching real hands do things just the same way it was done 100 years ago is always a thrill for me, especially when there are no fences to be seen.”
