The artist writes, “Breakaway depicts an 1870s scene in a Southwest town. As more people migrated to the West, small, quiet communities grew into busy, active towns, and with congestion came accidents.

“On this street, chaos erupts as a cowboy struggles to control his spooked horse. The horse rears and spins into the path of an oncoming stagecoach, while the commotion catches the attention of passersby. I hope it turned out well!”
