The artist writes, “Dark Sky shows a trio of horses beneath a looming dark cloud, with fleeting light clouds in the foreground. The calm horses seem unaffected by the potential threat, appearing instead to welcome the relief from warm temperatures and dry grasses. My aim was to create a three-dimensional image that emphasizes the intensity and motion of the storm.”
