Painted on-site by the artist, this scene depicts the meeting place of the Lewis and Clark Expedition with the Lemhi Shoshone in August 1805, and the surprise reunion of the expedition’s interpreter Sacagawea with her brother, Cameahwait, the Shoshone chief.
