Describing this painting, the artist writes, “Even after multiple safaris, sighting lions never fails to give me an instant shot of adrenalin. For me, the pinnacle of African drama is watching these majestic creatures as rulers of their beautiful and savage domain. This pair of prime male lions, The Rogues, in an amber grassland landscape, exudes confidence inspired by size and strength. As nomads roving the vast plains, they are in pursuit of establishing their place in a pride.”
