The artist writes, “I am always drawn to places of reflection, especially when the light aids the beauty of the scene. In Quietude, it was a perfect combination of an evening when the light is setting, a wisp of a cloud in the sky catching the late-day sun, and a catboat making a solo sail. What a perfect time to sit in repose and, for an artist, a painting is rendered.”
