Edward James “Jim” Corbett, born in 1875 in Nainital, India, was a British hunter who later became a renowned conservationist. From a young age, he developed a deep passion for the outdoors, spending much of his time exploring the forests of India. Corbett is best remembered for tracking and hunting man-eating tigers and leopards that threatened local communities – experiences he vividly recounted in his celebrated books, including Man-Eaters of Kumaon.
