The artist writes, “The nomadic lifestyle of the Native Americans was closely linked with nature’s cycle of changing seasons. The autumn leaves and cool nights remind these tribal leaders that it is time to secure a new camp location with an abundance of wood, water, and game to sustain them through the harsh winter ahead.”
