Describing this painting the artist writes, “There is a lot more to the word anniversary than the annual recurrence of a date marking a notable event. We associate so much more to those days and years of our life. A birthday, a graduation, a wedding and subsequent years together all form the memories of our time here on Earth.

“This morning we are visiting with a flower vendor in one of the beautiful colonial villages of north central Mexico. He is preparing a bouquet for the 50th anniversary of the loving couple who reside in this picturesque home. Juan and Maria also happen to be our dear friends and we are blessed to enjoy the celebration of their ‘Aniversario.’”
