Describing this painting the artist writes, “I've long wanted to create a bison painting with a slightly more playful perspective. In this case, the perspective of the prairie dog. Here I’ve utilized a low angle, mildly exaggerated foreshortening and the ‘hero’ pose of the bull to give the viewer a unique look – from the prairie dog’s point of view – that is fun if not still a bit intimidating.”
