The artist writes, “This is one of my favorite motifs to paint, a rider ready to lasso a running horse in dust filled atmosphere. It allows me to have fun with action, dust and plenty of contrast. I don’t think I could ever tire of finding new ways to depict this type of scene, getting the viewer to ‘feel’ the dust.”
