2018 Coeur d’Alene Art Auction / Lot 109
The artist wrote, “The inspiration for this painting came from a visit to Soco Falls in Cherokee, North Carolina. It is an unusual spot because two waterfalls come together there from two different streams. As I walked down the hill, I saw the falls straight on with the early morning sun rising behind them. I could visualize Cherokee warriors on horseback at the crest.”
