The artist writes, “Premonitions, prophecies, and visions are the realm of that part of the human psyche Freud called the unconscious (self). People gifted at entering and leaving the unconscious ‘spirit world’ are the Shamans. These individuals have ‘fallen in’ to the mysterious recesses of the mind and are thus able to communicate with ancestors and devine the future ‘Hopes’ of their Nations.”
