The artist writes, “Few animals evoke the wild like wolves. Majestic, rangy and highly social, wolves play a crucial role in driving evolution and helping calibrate nature’s complex relationships. For a wildlife artist they are a gift, beautiful looking animals with eyes that appear to look right through your soul. With this painting I have tried to recreate that lovely low winter sun which casts a warm glow on all that it touches before the deep chill of the night descends.”
