According to the artist, “Grizzly bears need a lot of area to roam and there are still a few areas in North America which provide that habitat - Glacier National Park in Montana is one of them. A secluded sanctuary, Glacier is beautifully rugged and pristine, prime country for bears. Adult grizzlies, being at the top of the food chain, have little to fear from other wild creatures. In my opinion, sow grizzlies (momma bears) are the most dominant force in the wild. When they have cubs and food to protect, they are at their most dangerous. As the old saying goes, “If momma isn’t happy, ain’t nobody happy.”
