According to the artist, “I have traveled a lot in Mexico and have seen many young mothers working long hours in the market trying to sell their produce while at the same time caring for young children. These women are strong and accept this way of life even as one job becomes two. Through this observation, it gives me great perspective and appreciation for the sanctity of family.”
