According to Morgan Weistling, “I am continually inspired by my children and the wonderful world of imagination they live in. My daughter often reminds me that my job is to paint and her job is to play. In this painting I am depicting that special bond between a grandparent and grandchild. Someday this little girl will look back on these days and cherish how Papa sat patiently while his little Claire played hostess to their tea. I loved painting the contrasts between the little girl’s dainty pose and hands against the large rotund manly hands and body.”
