The artist writes, “The long story involves being lead to believe there was a large elk to photograph, ‘directly on the path, another half mile or so ….’ No water on the hottest day of the summer, continually being told, ‘It’s just another half mile or so,’ every 30 minutes as we hiked on to a lake we never reached. Traveling through this amazing valley of golden grasses, blue water and the cool mountains receding into the distance of Rocky Mountain National Park.”
