According to Jay Moore, “This was my first time to Hidden Lake, just a mile or so hike from Logan Pass in Glacier National Park. Visiting at the end of September, the chances were about even that it would be snowing. I got a perfect day. I liked the feeling of depth and layers of pristine high-altitude atmosphere on this crisp fall day. As I stood there for the two hours that it took to do a plein-air study, there were mountain goats within ten feet of me. It was an amazing experience - one that I will remember for a long, long time.”
