A copy of the story, Remington at Twenty-Three, will accompany the lot.
Rick Stewart relates that, “In 1885, the whole country was caught up in the story of the Apache conflict and of their great chief, Geronimo.” He further cited a Remington manuscript, “it is hardly possible to convey in words an accurate idea of the panic and terror spread throughout the country by Apaches on the warpath.”
