VERSO
Signed and titled

An original handwritten letter from the artist will accompany the lot.

Reflecting on the inspirations behind his work, the artist wrote: “The American Indian fascinates me. The more I study them, the more intrigued I become with every aspect of their lives: their culture and artifacts, their horses and their physical characteristics. There’s always another story waiting to be told. I feel privileged to be one of their storytellers. There’ll be no end to my painting with such an abundance of subject matter. I think it’s important to tell the story of the Plains Indians because their history is our history, part of our heritage. The history of the West is uniquely American.”
