According to Rudolf G. Wunderlich, “This bronze was copyrighted October 1, 1895. There were a total of approximately 375 casts made of this subject from the original mold. Cast No. 177 is an excellent example, and is genuine in every respect, having examined this bronze several times in the last seven years.”
