According to Western art historian Dr. Larry Len Peterson, “Legendary art dealer Bob Drummond believed this oil was William Standing’s masterwork. It proudly hung on the wall behind his office desk. He told everyone it was painted by Charlie Russell, and he routinely fooled them, which brought great laughter every time he recounted his charade.”
