The artist wrote, “The winter of 2013 was especially long and cold. Ice formed from Canada to Michigan across the Great Lakes and along the shores of Lakes Superior, Ontario, and Huron great ice caves were formed. Massive icicles in colors of turquoise, blue, yellow, green and crystal clear hung from the rocks like glass gates in front of the rocks crevasses. It was a strange beautiful world apart from anything I have ever seen. Here, a pack of wolves with their sentry crows and ravens have gathered among the ice caves. Nature at its curious, mystical best.”
