Describing this painting the artist writes, “High in the Sierra Occidental mountains in western Jalisco lies the small village of San Sabastian. Only a hundred miles or so as the crow flies from the hustle of Puerto Vallarta, the transformation is overwhelming. Every day, the villagers go about their lives oblivious to the non-essential things we deem important. After a couple of hours picking up necessities, these three are about to take the short journey home. Three longtime friends, Compañeros.”
