According to the artist, “A fur trapper sits in his woodland camp playing music on his fiddle. Three Crow Indians have come in to investigate. From the trapper’s point of view, he has either purposefully drawn them in to do a bit of trading or maybe he is using the music to lighten a possible bad situation and save his scalp.”
