VERSO
Signed

Describing this painting the artist wrote, “While in northern Manitoba scouting polar bears, I gathered some landscape details that I felt would be well-suited as a setting for barren-ground caribou. The only caribou we saw were far below our bush plane as we flew out to locate bears on the forming ice. With the well-documented background material and the sure knowledge that caribou favored the country, a painting, albeit a small one, was inevitable.”
